For Summer 2026, the PLC has selected to return to Camp Rodney in the Del-Mar-Va council for the first time since 2021! Rodney is a great camp with an excellent opportunity for waterfront activities as it sits on the water at the very top of the Chesapeake Bay.

Dates:

Sunday, June 21 - Saturday, June 27

Fees: $675 Includes:

• summer camp registration

  • programming, all meals, cot​, tent or bunkhouse

• transportation to camp (bus supplemental funded by the troop)

• Adult leaders are free or covered by the troop

• Early bird ended Jan 31. Fee is $675.

  • Except new scouts - camp extends early bird deadline until May 1. Your cost is $650

Adults:

A troop of our size needs about 7-8 adults to be able to efficiently manage summer camp. So we need you! In exchange for contributing your time to support our kids for the week, the troop will cover the adult costs for summer camp. Part week is ok, but we will need to coordinate coverage.

2. Payment in 2 installments, totaling $650 (early bird pricing)

   1. Deposit

      1. Early bird by Jan 31 - $300

      2. After Jan 31 - $325

   2. By May 1 - $350

3. Turn in completed BSA Medical Form part A/B/C by June 1 troop meeting

   1. Note this is the same form many will need for Northern Tier. Make 2 copies, we will need one for each camp.

   2. Part C is a doctor's physical. Don't wait until last minute! If you do wait for last minute, CVS is a good option.

   3. Medical forms are good for 1 year from the Part C appointment.​

 

Merit badge registration opens April 18! Complete Merit Badge using these resources:​

2. Camp map and distances/time - Camp Rodney is a long narrow camp. Distances can be somewhat long​ between areas. Consider this when selecting your schedule (you don't want to go from boatyard to pool to boat yard...)

3. Form - Print this form. Mark your 1st and 2nd (maybe even 3rd) choice for each period. Be sure you are not overlapping classes. Please fill your day! Be sure to put your name on the paper. Turn in at troop meeting (at Deter table) on April 6 and 13.​

4. Special Programs:​

   1. New Scouts - You don't have to do any of this! We will enroll you in the Brownsea program, which compliments our new scout program. This is supercharge your advancement, and also let you earn 2 merit badges - Swimming and Nature​

   2. ACE (Advanced Camper Experience) - For ages 14+. Among other things, earns you the Exploration Merit Badge and the Paul Bunyan Award (ie supercharged Totin Chip). This is a half day program.​​
