Key Events
New Scout Campout - On this campout Troop Guides will introduce the boys to basic camping skills—pitching tents, using the camp stoves safely, cooking, washing dishes, etc. Additional information will be posted here.
Shooting Sports Campout, March 13th - 15th at Fallen Springs Lodge near Wardensville, WV. - The first full troop campout your son can participate in. At the camp out, scouts will have the opportunity to learn about and participate in a wide variety of shooting sports under the supervision of trained and certified adult instructors.
*We’ll cover everything you need to know about these camp outs during the orientation meetings. Don’t worry about buying a lot of new equipment if you don’t have everything right away—we have some gear to lend as well as stoves and other patrol gear.
Summer Camp, June 21-27 - Spending a week at summer camp is the BEST way to get new scouts excited, energized, and progressing early in their scouting career. 2026 will see Troop 1865 head to Camp Rodney located on the Chesapeake Bay north of Havre Du Grace, MD.
