Level Up your skills at this year's video game themed Klondike Derby! Troop 1865 will be attending one of the best Klondikes around, hosted by the Del-Mar-Va council at Henson Scout Reservation.

What is a Klondike Derby?
Many years ago, men raced across the Alaskan frozen wilderness by means of dogs and sleds. Scouting has taken this idea and created the Klondike Derby. Each patrol/den builds a sled, collects materials and equipment, and prepares to embark on the Klondike adventure and participate as a team in the derby. Activities this year are video game themed and will include:

- Mario Bros. (blindfold obstacles, challenges courtesy of Nintendo)

- Paperboy (throw newspapers at targets from your sled)

- Oregon Trial (first aid and ropes... if you can avoid dysentery)

- Tetris (real world 3D tetris)

- Duck Hunt (shotgun)

- Pitfall (tarzan style obstacle course)

- Star Wars ()

- Mario Kart (sled races)

- Pack Man (human pack man)

- Donkey Kong (fire building)

- Pong (like human foosball)

- and more to include cookoffs, campfire, and a tic-tac-toe tournament
