Details:

Troop 1865 is holding a climbing lock-in at Vertical Rock, 10225 Nokesville Rd, Manassas, VA 20110. Saturday, December 20, 9pm-7am. The troop will have the entire gym to ourselves overnight starting at 9pm. Late night pizza will be served. Breakfast is on your own. We will be sleeping on the padded gym floor. This is an "extra" troop event, just for fun!

​Girls Troop 1865G will be joining us. Welcome girls! We'll have a female only space available for sleeping. As with all events, we will need at least 1 female leader present.

Climbing Merit Badge:

Vertical Rock offers Scouts the opportunity to earn the Climbing Merit Badge entirely within the event. This is an Add-On option to the lock-in and may not be taken without the lock-in. The merit badge will take place 2 hours prior to our lock-in start time and the gym will still be shared with other Vertical Rock patrons. The total cost for the merit badge is $100 which includes the cost of the lock-in. Vertical Rock does not allow the merit badge to be taken without the lock-in. Scouts not participating in the merit badge may not arrive early.

Scouts will need to arrange their own transportation to and from Vertical Rock, 10225 Nokesville Rd, Manassas, VA 20110.

Arrival times are:

8:45pm for Lock-in Only

6:30pm for Merit Badge + Lock-in

Pickup at 7am for all scouts

Free for non-climbing adults. Otherwise climbing adults are same rates as scouts.

Includes all fees for locking, climbing, and pizza. Vertical rock does have a small shop with snacks and gear, if scouts choose to bring additional cash (not required or even recommended by the scoutmaster...)
